Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Fragrant lemon, peach and subtle minerality on nose, followed by a burst of peach and citrus on palate with mineral traces. Crisp acidity and lingering citrus finish- a Mosel beauty!
Tasted August 2016
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Not breaking the bank with this Mosel Riesling. Not overly aromatic but I could detect hints of apple core, peach, sweet spices and white blossoms. A slight effervescence that I'm not sure was on purpose? Not an overly long finish of burnt matchstick. Not much fruit/acid combo to warrant cellaring. Drink now.
Tasted: August 2016
Four winemakers create this wine from vines planted in vineyards in Mosel's steep slopes, thus this wine's name Cliffhanger. Have on its own or with mild vegetarian curries. - Community Wine Reviews
