Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Old world charm, aged leather, dry, chalky mouthfeel. Well balanced, integrated alcohol. Barnyard, savoury and earthy notes dominant with juicy red fruit. Great pairing with braised or roasted red meats. Complex, well structured and ready for enjoyment. Great price for value. Asked 2013 vintage June 2017. 91 points. BespokeTastings
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A sturdy earthy and plummy Italian red with prominent barnyard and savory aromas. The palate shows high mouthwatering acidity and grippy toasted oak finish. Can drink but suitable for aging. Enjoy this medium+ bodied red wine with braised beef short ribs but allow it to decant for at least one hour prior to toasting. Tasted June 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
