This is a full-bodied and elegant 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc red wine blend from Château Teyssier. Fresh and fragrant red plums, baking spice and dried tobacco leaf on the 2015 vintage, silky and velvety on the palate with plushy plum, red and dark berries, sweet cake spice and vanilla flavours on this flavoursome Bordeaux red.

Food pairings: pizza, pasta, rare steaks, pork tenderloin, hard chees.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

So flavourful! Primarily Merlot with about 30% Cabernet Franc, aromas of red plum, dried herbs, warm spices and cedar smoke. Full bodied with firm tannins, lots of spicy notes on the palate, and slightly warm caramel flavour on the finish. Enjoy with a nicely marbled, grilled steak.
From the Montagne-Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux wine region, Château Teyssier 2015 is fresh red plums, dried herbs and spicy on the nose with dark berry, cherry, plush plum, cake spice and vanilla flavours on the palate. The 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc red wine blend is a full-bodied red, elegant and smooth on the mid-palate. Enjoy with a pork tenderloin en croute. Nice now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
