Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From Washington State's most iconic producer, this Chardonnay is everything you come to expect from Ste. Michelle. The Indian Wells label represents smaller production and are precision-focused wines. The 2016 Chardonnay is stunning, featuring lots of baked apple, smoky tropical fruit, spice, and a hit of oolong tea. Pair with roast chicken or turkey kebobs on the grill. 91 Points.
From Chateau Ste. Michelle in the Columbia Valley, the Chardonnay wine grapes for Indian Wells 2016 Chardonnay were sourced from warmer sites on the Wahluke Slope and Cold Creek Vineyard. On the palate, ripe pineapple, stone fruit and creamy toffee flavours are weighty on the palate. An elegant wine that finishes long with soft citrus zest, balanced and structured. Hang time for the harvest was long and grapes were apple to fully ripen. The wine was aged 100% on its lees for six months to enhance mouthfeel and was aged in 35% new American and French oak barrel.
