Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lots going on with this aromatic and affordable Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas include currant, tobacco, mint, and mocha. Full bodied, with a nice blend of fruit, tobacco and spice on the palate with a medium+ finish. Enjoy with prime rib or beef stew.
Chateau St. Jean 2016 is an excellent value full-bodied and dry Cabernet Sauvignon from California. Fresh black plum with blackberry, blueberry flavours on the palate kissed with mocha and sweet tobacco flavours. Delicious and elegant at a delicious price. Margo Van Staaveren became winemaker and general manager for Chateau St. Jean in August of 2003. Enjoy now with gourmet burgers and all the fixings! - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
