Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

This Bordeaux blend has a knee-buckling nose - elegant and earthy. The palate is beautifully smooth with just a subtle suggestion of fruit. Mature tannins on the long finish. Refined and classic. Serve with prime rib. Tasted August 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Château Pontet-Fumet 2015 is a Grand Cru Bordeaux 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, rich and layered red wine blend from 50 year old vines. Dry with ripe dark cherry, black olive, dark chocolate, vanilla and savoury spice flavours on the palate, the wine was matured in 50% each new and previous use French oak barrels. Tannins are firm and could spend two or three years cellar time to mellow out. Pair with prime rib. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
