Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

An incredibly floral and fragrant wine from Bordeaux. Elegant, robust and refined with cherries, roasted red peppers, and cedarwood spices. Strawberries, cassis, leather and bramble flavours evoke a sense of history. Earthy, with continuous smoke driven fruit. Medium plus acidity with high velvety tannins. Great QPR, ready to drink now. Decanting suggested 1-2 hrs. Pair this with herb crusted flank steak. 90 points - tasted May 2018
Château Plaisance Les Palues 2009 is a mature and great value Bordeaux Supérieur under $20. Wines labelled "Bordeaux Supérieur" can be grown anywhere in Bordeaux and must be aged at least nine months. This medium-bodied red is a 70% Merlot with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot red wine blend. Drink now and pair with a crown pork roast. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
