Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From the lovely region of Blaye, Cotes de Bordeaux, Chateau Les Aubiers 2016 shows aromas of raspberry, fruitcake, menthol, leather, pipe tobacco, dill and cedar. Made from 80 % Merlot, 15 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 5 % Malbec, this medium-bodied wine exposes balance, and a long and minty finish. Certified Bio, this stylish Bordelais will pair well with cheese or cream sauce dish. Palate: red plum, red currant, mint, graphite, spice, dill and cedar. Enjoy.
Château Les Aubiers 2016 is a rich red wine blend of 80% Merlot, 10 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec from the Saint Aubin de Blaye Vineyard. Deep ruby in the glass with spice cedar, woody baking spice and dark berry aromas on the nose. Rich, full-bodied and intense on the palate with ripe dark fruit, spiced plum, black currant, cedar brush flavours lingering on the finish. Good acidity for food and tannins are structured. Decant for one hour and pair with a roast pork, or cellar for another year. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
