Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

85% Merlot, 15% Cab Sauv. Mellow aromas of ripe red berries and vanilla. Smooth, velvety, dry palate with soft tannins. Very well-balanced. Great with soft cheeses or grilled red meat.
Tasted Oct 2016
From France's Castillon-Côtes De Bordeaux, this Meritage 2011 is a full-bodied fully tannic 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon wine from Gourraud et Fils. The wine was awarded a bronze medal at the 2011 Bordeaux contest. It's a big, burly wine that needs taming either with a hearty, meat and gravy dish, or cellar for another five years when it will be more approachable. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
