Natalie's Score: 88/100

A full-bodied, deep and dark, structured Bordeaux red, blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Youthful with fresh blackberry, toasty oak, smoke and wild herb aromas and flavours on the palate finishing with mouth-watering acidity and a tannic grip. Needs some time in cellar - about three years to start showing its best.

Food pairings: cabbage rolls stuffed with beef rice and pimento, hamburger steak with wild mushroom and red wine sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Chateau Haut Selve 2015 is an honest and attractive wine from Graves, produced by the Lesgourgues Family. The wine shows aromas of dark plum, black cherry, bay leaf, leather, smoke, caramel and oak. Made from 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, this dark fruit driven Bordelais delivers a medium body, a lovely balance and a round finish. Palate: Dark cherry, blueberry, tobacco leaf, leather, pipe tobacco, spice and oak. Enjoy!
From Graves, Bordeaux wine region, Château Haut Selve 2015 is a full-bodied, smoky 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot wine blend with a ripe red berry and vanilla nose. Dry and rich on the palate with ripe dark berries, savoury herbs, mint and mocha flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm, chewy. Nice now, but hold three years for tannins to integrate. Pair with a well-marbled rib eye. - Community Wine Reviews
