Reviews and Ratings

Stephanie rated this wine as 93/100
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Located on the right bank of the Gironde river, Fronsac has long been a well renown wine region. Chateau Hauchat is a good representation of the charme of this region. The 2016 vintage shows aromas of red plum, red currant, menthol, new leather, allspice, dill and sandalwood. Exposing a medium body, the wine shows a nice balance with supple tannins. The round finish brings flavors of tart plum, red currant, bay leaf, charcoal, smoke, spice and cedar. Enjoy.
Château Hauchat 2016 is a mostly Merlot with some Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc Bordeaux red wine blend from the Fronsac wine region located on the north . bank of the Dordogne River. Dry, fresh with cassis, dark fruit and spicy flavours on the palate. Enjoy now with grilled meats or hold in cellar for three years. Just great value under $20. - Community Wine Reviews
