A full-bodied 100% Old Vines Merlot sourced from the Lussac-Saint-Émilion appellation. Chateau des Landes Cuvée Prestige is toasty on the palate with blackberry, dark plum, anise and sweet dried tobacco leaf flavours on the palate. Juicy, smooth and sensuous on the palate. Nice now, but can easily cellar for eight years or more.

Food pairings: Tourtière, roast beef, turkey.

Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This 80% Merlot/15% Cabernet Franc/5% Cabernet Sauvignon opens with an enticing nose of dried raspberries in warm sunshine. Fruit on the palate is restrained with some fine, drying tannins. Pair with old cheeses and charcuterie or hearty stew. Tasted January 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Château Des Landes Cuvée Prestige is a medium-plus-bodied red Bordeaux. Dry with spiced plum, dried sweet tobacco and toasty oak flavours on the palate. Tannins are fine. Aged in new French oak barrels, Decant one hour prior to pouring with a pork roast, but also a good cellaring candidate for another eight years. - Community Wine Reviews
