A medium-bodied, juicy Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon red wine blend with ripe cherry, black currant, red berry, earthy blue florals, cake spice and vanilla flavours on the palate from this French winery located between Saint Émilion and Castillon-la-Batille on the Right Bank of Bordeaux. The name "Demoiselles" comes from the Middle Ages when the estate was owned by an order of nuns. Enjoy now and for the next five years. Pair with Steak-Frites.

Food pairings: roast beef with root vegetables, baron of beef with red wine sauce and scalloped potatoes, flat iron steak on the bbq.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Chateau des Demoiselles 2014 is vibrant and classy Bordeaux wine from Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux, just east from the well renown region of Saint-Emilion. Rich aromas of black cherry, black plum, black pepper, leather, backing spice and oak. Lovely balance with a great structure, this medium-bodied wine offers a fine and long finish. Made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine delivers delicious flavors of blackberry, dark skin plum, menthol, black pepper, dark chocolate, spice and oak. Such a delicious wine. Enjoy!
From the Castillon Côtes De Bordeaux wine region Château Des Demoiselles 2014 is produced by the Famille Ducourt. A mostly Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot red wine blend, supple and smooth with ripe red berry, plum, cherry and raspberry flavours on the palate, dried herb and sweet cake spice finish. Enjoy with a roast breast of veal. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
