Lots of acidity and a tannic grip on the palate of this Niagara red wine made from the Gamay Noir Droit grape. Peppered raspberry with a full-bodied, juicy texture and weight. Good price for this quality. Here's an amazing BBQ wine for you for all sorts of meats and event he Portobello mushrooms.

Gamay Noir Droit food pairings: char-grilled burgers, steak, lamb chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

One of my favourites of Summer 2016. This was beautifully balanced with fruit, spice, body, and acidity. Lots of cherry and pepper on the nose. Those flavours carried through on the palate, brightened by some acidity that made my mouth water! The body and tannin were more than expected, making this wine bold enough to pair with red meat. I've tried this a few times and it's always a winner. Enjoy!
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

black cherry, anise, green pepper , and a slight gaminess on the nose and palate. This wine is designed to be enjoyed with food - think smoky beef brisket, meat lovers pizza, venison, or aged firm cheeses. Enjoy 2016-2020. 87 points.
Raspberry leaf, white pepper, racy acidity and tannic grip on this Niagara Gamay Noir made from the GM droit clone. Good value for quality. Decant an hour prior to serving with a slab of steak done rare. - Community Wine Reviews
