Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Elegant and rich, Chateau Chapelle d ’Alienor 2015 shows exquisite aromas of black cherry, black plum, violet, cocoa, molasse, cigar and oak. Made from 74% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine reveals a full body with polished tannins and structure. This gem from Entre Deux Mers delivers flavors of black skin plum, blackberry, bay leaf, coffee, leather, baking-spice and oak. Enjoy!
From Château Chapelle D'aliénor in the Bordeaux Wine Region, produced by La Gaffelière, this is a medium-plus-bodied Bordeaux Supérieur red blend of 75% Merlot and 25%Cabernet sauvignon. Look for ripe dark fruit, citrus zest and savoury herb flavours on the palate with a lingering dark plum and berry finish. Tannins are rounded. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
