Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Beautiful dried strawberry, cherry, and briar notes gush into a melted licorice and meat blood core. This wine is simply stunning. Fresh and dried flowers round out the finish. 92 Points. (www.otttawawinejournal.com)
From the Languedoc Midi wine region, Chateau Castigno Eurl, Secret Du Dieu Saint Chinian (2011) is made from 40% Syrah, 40% Carignan and 20% Grenache. The Grenache is vinified stainless steel and and the Syrah and Carignan in new oak barrels. Lots of toast and tertiary liquorice and anise on this ripe blackberry fruit, medium-bodied wine. Drink now and for the next three years. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
