A robust, savoury Bordeaux red wine blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Aromas of red and black currants, cassis and smoke. The vines are planted in gravel and clay soils that provide excellent drainage.Winemaker Nicole Roskum-Brunot and her sons, who are fourth generation winemakers, have produced a terrific wine here. Decant 1 hour. Pair with roasted veal or lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Merlot dominant with an accent of Cabernet Sauvignon in this 90/10 blend. A deep garnet colour with strong dark fruit, black cherry, fresh coffee, truffles and anise herbal notes. Very smoky and earthy with a hint of forest underbrush. Flavours elegantly reveal dried blackberries, blueberry compote, dark chocolate drizzled in a gleaming fresh balsamic glaze followed by a clean minty mouthfeel. Purely engaging, exquisite! Awesomely food friendly. Pair with braised beef ribs or lamb chops. 90 points -tasted July 2018
