Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Well balanced, perfumed violet petals, deeply concentrated plum and blackberry fruit, medium plus tannins, integrating nicely. Pairs well with roasted pork chops topped in creamed mushroom stuffing. A Madiran old vines tannat, 2006 vintage, decanted 2h. Tasted Nov 2017. 91 points. This 2006 vintage could age well until 2026. #BespokeTastings
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Black fruit, tobacco, chocolate and spice notes with long medium tannins. Pair with hanger steak. Tasted November 2017.
Château Bouscassé (2006) is a mature Tannat red made from some vines that are 150 years old from the Madiran area in Southwest France. This Tannat is so red it's almost black and has great structure with rich black plum and spice flavours. Tannins are grippy. Decant for two hours prior to serving with rich game stews. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
