A terrifically rich and layered Bordeaux wine at a great price. Complex and concentrated, this Merlot-driven French wine blend offers attractive aromas of cassis, black currant and black plum. Pair with grilled meats.

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Dark fruit, tobacco, and vanilla on the nose. Flavors of stewed plum, cherry and blackberry with a subtle smokiness and spice. Not overly complex, yet quite enjoyable.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Nice jammy raspberry and cherry notes with lovely floral, vanilla, sweet tobacco and baking spice flavours. Tannins are young and developing balanced with high juicy acidity and a long plump finish. Enjoy this medium bodied red with beef kebabs. Tasted Mar 2017 - @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Candied berries reminiscent of chewy Swedish berries sweets. Vanilla, pepper, floral, toast and minerality with fresh acidity. Tannins are evident but not distracting. Not overly complex but it's meant to be enjoyed today. A soft and savoury finish. Easy and uncomplicated at $21. From Lussac-St. Emilion. Perfect beef and game wine.
Tasted: February 2017
The hilly terrain of Lussac, a satellite appellation of Saint-Émilion, is limestone and clay dominate on the slopes; gravel and clay in the valley with clay and sand on the plateau and allowing for a wide range of wine styles from this area. Château Bonnin Pichon makes consistently good, traditional Merlot-dominant wines and the 2014 vintage is elegant and intense delivering lingering layers of plum and ripe dark fruit flavours on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews
