Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Decanter GOLD 2014
Deep ruby colour. Full-bodied aromas and flavours of black cherry, plum, raspberry, cassis, vanilla, cedar, leather, mocha and a lift of mint. Good length with an earthy cherry finish. Youthful tannins and medium+ acidity. Very nice wine. Pair with Argentinian BBQ meats - salted only and grilled. Decant.
Tasted: April 2015
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Mild plum fruit on the nose. The palate shows bright Damson plums, baking spice and earth. Well-balanced with a Damson plum finish.
The illustrated jaguar on the front label of this Argentine wine is considered the lord of the starred night in ancient Indian culture. This wine won a Gold Medal at the 2014 Decanter World Wine Awards. The 2012 vintage of the Chakana Malbec Estate is made from 100% Malbec grapes. The wine is matured in new and used French oak for 18 month. - Community Wine Reviews
