Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Produced from estate-grown Pinot Gris from the North and South Okanagan, B.C. Cedar Creek’s 2019 Lot 87 Pinot Gris 2019 is a 50/50 blend of Pinot Gris sourced from the Southern Okanagan’s dry and desert-like vineyards giving the wine rich and ripe mouth-filling flavours, as well as from grapes sourced from high-elevation vineyards balancing the wine with laser-like acidity. The result is one masterfully-crafted Pinot Gris. The wine was fermented three months in stainless-steel tank with seven per cent of the vintage aged in neutral oak. The blended wine rested on its lees for three months giving the wine added body, roundness and finesse. Floral with bright citrus and ripe pear aromas on the nose; dry, medium-bodied and lush with ripe pear, melon, apple and quince fruit on the palate beautifully-balanced with mouth-watering acidity lingering on with a touch of spice. Tasted February 2021.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
