Castelli del Grevepesa is one of Chianti Classico's most historic cooperatives, farming sustainably across vineyards in Greve in Chianti since 1964, and the Clemente VII Chianti Classico is their benchmark expression of Sangiovese from the appellation's galestro and alberese soils. Polished and precise on the nose with dark plum, tart cranberry, dried violet, crushed slate, and sage, it opens to a lively palate of tart pomegranate and graphite with a long refreshing finish and fine, healthy tannins. Drink it now through 2030 with roasted turkey, steak-topped pizza, pasta in tomato sauce, or breaded veal cutlets.

Chianti Classico food pairings: stuffed roasted turkey, steak topped pizza, pasta in tomato sauce, breaded veal cutlets.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
