Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Interesting black pepper floats over dried red fruit on the nose. The palate is silky, smooth with ample fruit. The lovely fruit carries through to a generous finish. This might just become my 'house red'! Excellent value. Pair with anything from pizza to steak. Tasted January 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
From the Veneto wine region, Castel Del Lago 2017 Italy Valpolicella Ripasso is a soft rounded juicy Ripasso with dark berry compote, dark cherry and sweet spice flavours concentrated on the palate. Tannins are structured and slightly chewy. Pair with charcuterie and hard cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
