Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This lovely clear, pale gold wine offers up golden apples on the nose. It has a nice silky, smooth, round mouth feel with just enough acid to keep it interesting. This would be refreshing summer wine for docks and decks or as a base for white sangria. Tasted May 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Subtle lemon and stone with the slightest hints of green apple skin and peach. Extra dry with high acid, absolutely mouthwatering. Lemon, stone, and peach on the palate. An easy match with shellfish, also suitable for creamy chicken stew or pasta.
Produced from 100% Albariño from the Rías Baixas wine region, Casa Monte Pio 2016 is a dry, vibrant, medium-bodied white wine with pear, apple and soft orange zest flavours weighty on the palate. Well-crafted. Chill and enjoy now with grilled shellfish dishes. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
