Reviews and Ratings

Simon Chen rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

This is a terrific wine but it takes several hours to open up! Initially, it was tight and the nose is muted. Very woody, tart plum. I let it open (in the bottle) for 3.5 hours and wow, the texture becomes velvety, bright red fruits, soft acidity, and long finish.
Carparzo La Casa (2010) is a full-bodied, structured and intense Brunello di Montalcino. with a wild blue flowers, dusty blackberry nose. Lots of dark fruit, dried fruit, structure and lush on the palate. This wine could definitely cellar for a few years for it to show its best. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
