Cabriz 2017 is a great value 40% Alfrocheiro Preto, 40% Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) and 20% Touriga Nacional red wine blend from the Dão wine region. Rich and robust with dark cherry, red berry, earthy, meaty, savoury spice and smoky vanilla flavours. Enjoy with barbeque fare. Since 1989, Quinta de Cabriz has played an increasing role in creating the identity of Dão wines.

Food pairings: blackened chicken, barbecued beef roast, bison burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Cabriz 2017, from the Dao region in Portugal, reveals delicious aromas of black raspberry, sour plum, bergamot, graphite, bread, toasted marshmallow and oak. Blended from Touriga National, Tinta Roriz and Alfrocheiro, the wine shows a light body, and well-balanced acidity and tannins. Perfect for food pairing, the finish is short and fruity. Palate: black raspberry, blueberry, violet, smkoe, chocolate and oak. Good to know that Cabriz is the leading brand from Dão and the world’s best seller from that region. Enjoy!
