Rich and full-bodied Okanagan red wine from a respected producer. Although this is not inexpensive Merlot, there's lots to enjoy for fans of the genre. Full-bodied, supple and long lived. Pair with grilled pork chops.

Merlot food pairings: flank steak, rack of BBQ ribs, veal Porterhouse, grilled lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Philippe Perreault - Sommelier rated this wine as 81/100 with the following review:

Clear purple color with almost orange reflections with aromas of blackberry, cherry, raspberry and undergrowth.
This wine is soft on the palate with silky tannins and an acidity balanced.

This wine is ready to drink. take it on its own like appetizer and seve it between 15-17 degrees.
This robust Merlot from Burrowing Owl is one of their better known red wines. Pair with rack of lamb. Lots of toasty oak and black fruit. - Community Wine Reviews
