Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A perennial favourite, Burrowing Owl's Chardonnay is a British Coloumbian wine that is full-bodied. Pale gold in the glass, tropical fruit, peach, and herbal aromas. On the palate, the oak reveals itself in caramel notes offset by the minerality provided by the low acidity. Notes of licorice and petrol on the finish. Pair with seafood, cream sauce dishes, and herbal touches of fennel and anise.
Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A fresh and clean style with tropical notes. Light and delicate on the palate with preserved lemon, fresh peaches and tinned pineapple. Try with squid with green chilli and fresh limes @wrightwineblog
Burrowing Owl 2017 Chardonnay is a rich and buttery, full-bodied Chard with peach cobbler, tropical fruit notes, toasted nut and a lingering mineral finish balanced with vibrant acidity. Love the creamy weighty mouthfeel on the palate. Made by the Wyse family, this Chardonnay was awarded a Silver Medal at the 2018 Pacific Rim International Wine Competition. - Community Wine Reviews
