Reviews and Ratings

Mark Cochrane Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A dark ruby red bold Zinfandel from the north central coast of California. Lots of aromas like stewed fruit, jam, spice and some cedar that stands out. The "wow factor" is in the tasting with dark fruit flavours like blackberry, cherry with some dark chocolate at the finish. A medium to full bodied wine with a relatively long jam like finish. This wine paired nicely with a bacon wrapped gourmet steak on the BBQ.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A succulent Old vine Zinfandel from Lodi, California. The grapes in this beautiful wine come from head trained untrellised vines. Lots of black and red berries, pepper, mocha and floral notes. I'm going to say it, "jammy delicious!" This is a medium+ body Zinfandel with balanced cleansing acidity. Abv is creeping up at 14.5% but I didn't taste the heat. Serve at your next saucy BBQ. Hits the sub $20 budget.
Owned by Delicato Family Vineyards, this Californian red wine is made from the state's iconic Zinfandel grape. The vines are head trained and untrellised as is the traditional way of farming from the state's first growers of Zinfandel a century ago. Pair with barbecued ribs. - Community Wine Reviews
