Beautifully tart black cherries on the nose and palate with a satin seductive texture. Medium-bodied with layers of complexity and a long finish. Enjoy it with planked salmon or roast turkey tonight. Dried herbs and violets on the nose with polished tannins on the palate. Great length and bouquet. Pair with duck comfit.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A beautiful Pinot Noir, from the most famous land of world-class Pinot production, Burgundy. Fresh raspberry, tart cherry, elegant spice and herbs on the nose. Repeat on the palate. Well integrated tannins with lively acidity. A wine that will be sure to make any rich braised dish taste even better. 92 points. Tasted March 2015. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A fragrant Burgundy with a nose showing fresh red cherry, earth and vanilla. A delicious palate shows bright red fruit, earth, soft baking spice and slight herbal touches with subtle oak. Very harmonious with a velvety mouthfeel and a multi-layered red fruit finish.
This is benchmark Old World pinot noir, especially from Gevrey-Chambertin AC. Bouchard Père & Fils have been making wine in Burgundy since 1731. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
