One of my favorite rosés year after year. Old World balance and length with New World vitality and fruit. Ripe raspberries and earth. Closed with a screwcap.

Rosé food pairings: salmon, paté, stuffed chicken breast, oysters, shrimp pasta.

Reviews and Ratings

Reverse Wine Snob reviewed this wine as follows:

Review of 2010 Bonny Doon Vin Gris de Cigare. Pleasing aromas of strawberry, flowers, and watermelon. The predominant flavors are apple, some citrus, and watermelon but it is not overly sweet and balanced with great minerality and acidity. It ends with a dry excellent finish. This is an extremely drinkable wine with perfect balance. So crisp and fresh that you could almost guzzle this one on a hot day! I could say more but words don't do this wine justice. Do yourself a favor and go buy a bunch today!

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
