Bolla Le Origini Riserva Amarone della Valpolicella Classico from Veneto is a dry, full-bodied wine crafted from dried Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes, revealing a reductive nose of hay, restrained red fruit, white pepper and loam with cherry preserves, dried figs, warm spices and charred vanilla on the palate framed by silky yet powdery tannins and refreshing natural acidity. Serve it at room temperature with braised lamb shanks with rosemary and red wine, where the wine's rich, savoury character and tension complement the tender, slow-cooked meat, or pair it with aged Parmigiano-Reggiano and prosciutto di Parma as the wine's concentrated fruit and stony finish stand up to the intense, crystalline cheese and silky cured ham. Winemaker Christian Scrinzi oversees production at Bolla, one of the oldest and most respected Amarone houses, founded in 1883 by Abele Bolla and instrumental in establishing the Appassimento technique that defines this iconic Venetian wine style. This classic Amarone is full of tension and drinkability and is best enjoyed from 2028 through 2034 as its layers continue to evolve.

Riserva Amarone della Valpolicella Classico food pairings: grilled lamb, roast of pork, grilled sausages.
