Light russet hues and a pale amber rim set the stage for aromas of burnt sugar pecan, dried fig compote, spiced Earl Grey and a wisp of charred cedar. The palate unfolds layers of butterscotch and marzipan, finishing with cozy warmth and a whisper of singed oak. Try it with ginger-poached pear topped with crushed pistachio and almond-sable cookies or alongside dark-chocolate-dipped candied kumquats.

Madeira food pairings: fruit cakes, soft cheeses, puddings.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
