Reviews and Ratings

Julian Park rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Acid 6g/L, Residual Sugar 8 g/L, Alcohol % 11.9. Only Stainless steel fermentation for this fruit forward wine. The blend is not disclosed on the label, to underline the mystique suggested by the name. The word on the street is that the blend for 2016 contains about Gewürztraminer (60%), Sauvignon Blanc (30%) and Muscat (10%), but no Ehrenfelser. An aromatic white, the wine is crisp and dry and food friendly. This wine offers fresh aromas of lychee and citrus fruits, grass and a hint of butterscotch. Dry on the palate, pink grapefruit, lemon drop and a mineral undertone, all balanced together with crisp acidity and just a hint of sweetness. The 2016 Secret Society won a Bronze medal at the National Wine Awards of Canada.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
