Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This 2016 is starting to show a deeper gold colour. The nose is clean but a bit tight with just a suggestion of stone and minerality. The palate is slightly spicy, medium weight with a medium finish. Tasted April 2019
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

light honey golden yellow colour. peach blossom and stone fruit nose. expressively floral. peach and apricot jam palate, dry with good acid, respectable finish. A good match for seafood alfredo, roast chicken, and pastas with olive oil and garlic.
From the Badischer Winzerkeller, this Baden Black Forest 2016 Pinot Gris is dry with ripe pear, apple, rich stone-fruit flavours on the palate with a lingering, crisp and clean mineral finish. Very approachable and easy to enjoy. Chill and pour with brunch, herb quiches and egg dishes. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
