From Señorío de Barahonda, Campo Arriba 2018 is a vegan-friendly, full-bodied red blend of Old Vines Mourvèdre, Syrah and Grenache. This juicy Spanish red is dry, and concentrated on the palate with dried blue and purple florals, dark berry, cherry, savoury herbs and pepper spice flavours with a dark chocolate finish. Tannins are firm. Pair with aged cheeses and Iberico ham. Family owned and operated, Señorío de Barahonda was established in 1925, and is currently overseen by Antonio Candela Poveda and his two sons Antonio and Alfredo.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The Campo Arriba 2018, made by Barahonda located in the Yecla Valley in Spain, offer aromas of blackberry, black currant, lavender, game, mocha and vanilla. A blend of Monastrell (aka Mourvèdre), Syrah and Tintorera delivers a full body, soft tannins and high acidity, showing drinkability and quality that will please the amateur of Spanish wine. Palate: blueberry, black raspberry, lavender, cocoa, mocha, spice and sweet tobacco. Enjoy.
