Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Outstanding QPR for this Californian Cabernet. Medium ruby colour and fruity on the nose; red cherry, strawberry, blackberry and blueberries with a soft sweet vegetal touch of red bell peppers, tobacco and prunes. Flavours unveil raspberries, plums, cherry chutney, fresh figs, vanilla, and peppercorns. High acidity, medium plus body with a medium finish. Some spicy heat and light plums persist, carrying a flavourful note with them! Pair with blue cheese hamburgers. 90 points - tasted March 2018
Bar Napkin Cellars 2015 is a well-priced California Cabernet Sauvignon with ripe raspberry, cherry, dark fruit and anise flavours on the palate. Derek Benham, founder of Bar Napkin Cellars, has come a long way since he started selling wine out of the trunk of his '67 Mustang over three decades ago. Pair with food truck fare. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
