Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Pretty nose of floral - violet, eucalyptus, raspberry and blackberry. The palate is rich with a juicy acidity and a lengthy, spicy dark fruit finish.
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Beautifully aromatic, this is a modern Chianti that is really consumer friendly. It's predominantly Sangiovese, with a dash of Canaiolo and Cab Sauv. It's aged in French barriques, which is a departure from traditional Chianti. It does make it less rustic and more immediately drinkable.
Medium garnet, with a slightly purple hue.
Aromas of fresh pommegranate, cherry, blackberry, cassis, pot pourri, plum, and smokey oak.
On the palate it is inviting and chocolatey. Sweet tobacco smoke, cherry, licorice, and plum.
Really inviting and easy to appreciate.
Put this wine with beef carpaccio or maybe some sharp English cheddar.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
