Reviews and Ratings

Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Ruby in colour with aromas of black cherry, tobacco and baking spice. It is light bodied with medium acidity and low tannins with the flavours of black cherry and baking spice on the palate leading into a medium cherry finish. This will pair well with ham, poultry, salmon and medium cheeses. Tastes on March 2, 2020 at Taste Ontario in Ottawa.
Peter Neilson rated this wine as 90/100
From the Niagara Escarpment wine region, Bachelder Les Villages Reserve 2016 Pinot Noir is an entry level PN with smoky black cherry, tart red berry, raspberry, sweet spice and savoury herb flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm. This vintage was awarded Gold at the 2019 Ontario Wine Awards in the Allen's Pinot Noir Award category. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
