Juicy, crisp and mouth-watering Italian white made from the iconic grape Pinot Grigio, with lovely lime, grapefruit and white melon aromas. Great aperitif or companion to many dishes. The Attems family has been making wine since 1106. Their pinot grigio is favourite of mine year after year. Perfect for sipping as an aperitif or paired with seafood.

Pinot Grigio food pairings: grilled chicken breast, summer salads, frittata, basil pesto, pork burgers, grilled lake fish.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pale lemon colour with fresh aromas of lime zest, pear, apple, lychee, white blossoms. The palate lends a slight minerality and wet cement component. Medium+ acidity, light-bodied, length is long on a mouthwatering mineral finish. The wine is bone dry. This Pinot Grigio saw a combination of Stainless Steel and new/older barriques. The result is an elegant easy drinking wine that met the challenges of a difficult vintage. Drink now. Pair with scallops in garlic butter, Caesar salad with anchovies, on it's own.

This northern Italian winery has been making wine in the Friuli region back to 1106. At that time, the church granted them their lands and estate to cultivate vineyards and make wine, and they've been doing so ever since for 900 years. The vines are planted in marl and sandstone soils. - Community Wine Reviews
