Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a huge wine. Big presence on the nose and palate. Ripe stewed cherry, blackberry, big alcohol integrating well. Medium tannins, full bodied. Long finish with persistence of stewed cherry. Amazing port-like character with big alcohol and stewed fruit. Pairs well with cherry-infused drizzled pork chops. Tasted 2013 vintage decanted 2h, in Feb 2018. 90 points. Not for the faint of heart.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier reviewed this wine as follows:

Rich plummy, black cherry and anise aromas followed by a rush of stewed plum, blueberry jam, candied black locorice and hints of chocolatey mocha motes. It’s full-bodied and intensely fruit forward. Acidity is lacking, tannins are mild the pronounced fruit notes are overwhelming. If you like rich ripe fruit “California Zinfandel” style reds you find the Attanasio appealing... it’s not my style.
