Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

From Scotland's wind-swept Isle of Islay, this Single-Malt that is unforgettable. A smokey, peaty nose leads to a remarkable peaty palate with dark chocolate and nutty flavours along with a hint of rich butterscotch. Very well-balanced, extremely smooth mouthfeel with a long smoldering peat finish. Not released every year, so it's a special treat to find it. Want to make Dad really happy on Father's Day? This will do it!
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

Peat galore! Such deep and concentrated smoky peat and sea salt with rich caramel and spice on the palate. Very refined and elegant despite the intensely peaty nose. The spicy finish keeps going for minutes. Wow! If you like peat-rich Islay then you must taste this beauitful expression of Islay. Tasted May 2015. 95 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
