Reviews and Ratings

John rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Excellent. Full bodied, lots of flavor
Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

Another good wine from California offering an interesting mix of zinfandel, merlot, syrah and cabernet sauvignon. I really like the fun label design. With a ruby colour, 13.5% alcohol, I found Apothic to have a woody flavour. I had fun pairing it with hard cheeses and hummus.
Holly Bruns rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

This is an inky, dark purple wine with oaky, vanilla and liquorice aromas, some dark cherry and blackberry fruit and an almost sweet, nutmeg-tinged finish. If you like your wine full and lush, you'll like this.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
