Lemon drops and sweet lychee and pear on the nose. Seductive and exotic. Medium-bodied and viscous and smooth. Try this with Asian dishes, curries and spices. To die for with the right food combo.

Gewürztraminer Kabinett food pairings: spicy pork stir-fry, toasted almonds and strong cheeses.

Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

The very expressive and aromatic bouquet is floral and fruity. It is reminiscent of roses, mango, passion fruit and apricot. In its taste, the wine is elegant and aromatic with a fine acidity and long finish.

Simply beautiful semi-sweet Gewürztraminer. Candied grapefruit, botanical oils, white roses, lychee and honeyed almonds all make an appearance. In the mouth it’s soft, delicate and pretty – what Mosel is to Riesling, this is to Gewürz. Gently spicy ginger and rosewater notions interplay on the finish. A rare Gewürz that you could cellar (3-5 years), this offers frankly astonishing value. Serve chilled. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, Dec. 2012

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
