Angove's Family Crest Cabernet Sauvignon from McLaren Vale is a bold, full-bodied red wine showcasing notes of cassis, eucalyptus, dark chocolate and charred cedar. This dry, organically certified wine displays plush tannins and concentrated fruit that will continue to develop over the next five years. Serve it at room temperature with grilled ribeye steak as the wine's structure stands up to the marbled beef, or pair it with sharp aged cheddar and walnuts where the wine's richness complements the nutty, crystalline cheese. Winemaker Tony Ingle oversees production at this family estate, which has been Australian Certified Organic since 2008, making Angove one of the country's pioneers in sustainable viticulture. The Angove family has been making wine in South Australia since 1886 when Dr. William Thomas Angove, a Cornish physician, planted his first vines, and five generations later the family continues to craft wines of exceptional quality and value. This powerful Cabernet will cellar beautifully through 2030.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: roast beef, tourtiere, beef long ribs from the grill.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
