Reviews and Ratings

Mymi Thesingingsommelier - Sommelier, FWS rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

This winery boasts an astonishing mix of unique Austrian as well as International wines. Kurt Angerer doesn’t compromise and is committed to the highest level of quality which has earned him the reputation of producing some of the best wines in the Kamptal D.A.C. region.
This 2012 Granit Zweigelt is a beautiful purply red in color. Focused and a little herbal on the nose with lots of ripe juicy red berry fruit and marzipan paste.
Lighter than expected on the palate but still containing a good amount of red fruit and a hint of xmas spices. Dry with good tannin and acid structure. Great wine to enjoy with crispy pork wontons and a sweet & sour dipping sauce!
Olivier de Maisonneuve rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Medium aromatics on the nose and palate for this Granit cuvée.I enjoyed the raspberry, ground pepper and floral notes. Fresh red fruits on the palate, nice length, but a hint of alcohol at the end. 2012 was a super vintage,so maybe i'd still wait a couple of years before drinking it.
