Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Angels Gate Merlot is pleasantly polished and perfectly performs. A medium ruby colour, with a ruby hue. Light staining viscous tears. Aromas of dark cherry, plum, ripe strawberry and a touch of bay leaf and tobacco Also some leather and vanilla with a hint of wet leaves. On the palate, plum, smoke, cigar box and a tobacco element. Medium acidity and body with well rounded and integrated tannins following into the finish with lingering toasty and sweet smoke notes. Paired very well with pepper grilled sirloin and leafy green veg. Grilled lamb or kebabs will also accompany nicely. October 2017 - Andreas Wine Cellar

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
