Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A complex nose of thyme, mint and cedar. The savoury notes also float on top of a rich fruity palate. It’s like being in a field of warm clover and garrigue. This is a big interesting pour, nothing subtle here. A rich, complex glass to enjoy with lamb or steak or spicy red sauces. Good value. Tasted August 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This screams American oak with savoury dill, pickle barrel, toasty coconut, and burnt vanilla front and centre, followed by varietal characteristics of blackcurrant, black cherry, and black pepper. Massive though typical body of 15% ABV, moderate and round tannins, and pleasant acidity for the level of ripeness. Finish hangs on for a respectable length of time. Barbecue anything, extra saucy, for a tasty match.
Ancient Peaks Santa Margarita Ranch 2017 is a zesty, medium-plus-bodied Zinfandel from southern Paso Robles wine region in California. Look for lush strawberry jam, sweet raspberry, smoke, mocha and savoury herb flavours on this toothsome Zin. Pair with smoky ribs and BBQ chicken wings. The winery is certified sustainable by Sustainability in Practice. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
