Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby with fragrant ripe blackberry jam and slight pepper on the nose. Blackbery jam, cloves, pepper and oak on the delicious palate. Full-bodied Barossa Shiraz at its best!
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Smoky dark fruit, plums, spice, and pepper on the nose and palate. A great wine to enjoy with aged cheese, BBQ fare, or simply on its own. Tasted June 2016. 88 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Blackberry, cherry and a hint of vanilla on the nose. The palate offers the same with some pepper and cedar notes. Moderate tannins and heat from the 15.2% alcohol give a nice lasting finish.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Nice concentration of fruit with over ripened black plums, black cherry, oodles of cake spices and warming alcohol. This full-bodied Shiraz has youthful tannins and a decent vanilla Bing cherry finish. Medium+ acidity and mild tannins. Good value. Perfect BBQ hamburger wine. Suggest decanting.
Tasted: October 2015
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Robust jammylicious red. Pronounced aromas of ripe black plums, jammy raspberry/blackberry notes, cedar and mint. Flavours mostly repeat from the nose with more domninant notes from baking spices, black fruit and a little heat (alcohol). Tannins are low, acidity is medium (integrated but a bit off-balance) and wind is full bodied. The finish is long with lasting flavours from baking spice (and heat from the alcohol). A good wine to pair with a rack of lamb.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby/purple, candied plum, spice and pepper on the nose. Sweetish on the palate with dark cherry and plum, chocolate and oak along with spice notes. Full body with bright acidity, and soft tannins, it seems somewhat a commercial offering intended for broad appeal. Braised meats and BBQ with tangy sauces will work.

This towering Australian red wine is made from Shiraz grapes and is simply huge on the palate with lots of oak. - Community Wine Reviews
