Natalie's Score: 91/100

The vines for this terrific Merlot are planted at the southern limit of the Yakima Valley in the foothills of Washington state's Horse Heaven Hills wine region. This wine is bursting with fleshy ripe black plums, cherry and mocha. The horses on the label are a tribute to the wild horses that once roamed the Hose Heaven Hills. They were approximately 14 hands tall: small but sturdy and strong, known for their unbridled strength and freedom. Pair with grilled pork chops.

Dark garnet with ripe blackcurrant & vanilla aromas. Delicious blackcurrant, vanilla with slight spice on palate and mocha on finish.

14 Hands 2015 is a well-priced Merlot from the southern edge of the Yakima Valley in Washington. The name on the label are a tribute to the wild horses that once roamed the Hose Heaven Hills. They were approximately 14 hands tall. This 2015 growing season was one of the warmest Washington has ever seen and so the Merlot wine grapes for 14 Hands were fully ripe at harvest> Lots of fleshy dark plum, small black fruits, mocha and smoke on this delicious Merlot. - Community Wine Reviews
